The West Bottoms is an industrial area the west of downtown Kansas City, at the confluence of the Missouri and Kansas Rivers. The area is one of the oldest areas of the city. It was formerly home to the Kansas City Stockyards. Abandoned and slightly blighted for many years, it's experiencing a bit of a revival and now features numerous antique shops, art galleries and a few restaurants.
This is the actual colour as I took this I did think of doing it in b/w but I like this original! I was down the bank looking up!

Taken early morning Mid April after a few days of heavy rain. The small Jetty used to help anglers on to their boats is part submerged and made for an interesting "non typical" shot.

This rainbow appeared at dusk, after a dramatic storm. It was also my Mom's Birthday. I like to think it was her way of saying she is doing well in Heaven above.
