Back Story ..........
First I want to thank everybody who has continued to support us both through your words and through your generous donations.
Your unconditional help is what keeps this program alive. Actually it's what keeps the many dogs we maintain alive, day after day, week after week, year after year. For that we thank all of you ...;-)
As you can see I've come up for air, step by step things will continue to return to normal. Well, normal in our world anyway.
Early morning Mr Brown and Mama were fed, soon after The Leroy Crew was fed too.
No# 1 wife still has me on a short leash, we arrived by car, not by scooter. Doctors want to see me again tomorrow at a hospital many hours away from our place, I'm not happy with that. To much poking and prodding followed up with a bunch of big words. .. ;-(
Lots of monkeys invading The Dog Palace, Mama wanted me to follow her to the roof . No# 1 gave me permission to go play as long as I stayed away from the edge , I tried ....
After about 20 minutes I spot Mr Brown, he too wanted to be with us up on the roof. This surprised me big time !
I was sitting there watching him use his nose as well as his ears. Blew me away how badly he wanted to be in on the action. Mr B tip toed gingerly across all the broken cement an boards while zeroing in on my voice.Took his time but eventually he crashed into my legs and sat down, Mama continued to chase monkeys .. ;-)
Mr B was so happy he laid his big head in my lap while sitting and didn't move for the longest time.
When it was time to go both Mama and I helped Mr B navigate his way over to the steps leading down to the 2nd floor.
Next photo shows Mama stopping Mr B before heading down said stairs.
All in all it was a productive trip with plans to get back on schedule in the near future.

A girlfriend asked me over to make pictures of her newborn. The only thing was that the shoot must be done at her's place and the light is there so not good but you have to work with it and make te best of it. This picture I find interesting because it sets you thinking. In this picture I see life, love, time, care and dependence. When you get kids you start thinking about time and how fast it goes by. You start thinking about your life and if there's something you want to change or what you want to do. You learn also what it means to love someone unconditionally.

I find solace and creativity and great expanse when I turn inside and think and explore my internal world. It is my nature, it is the nature of being an introvert. I find no fault with it. I accept the alone part and find happiness within it. But I don't take my happiness for granted. Because I don't exist only within my world. There are others and I can only really, truly be happy when others are happy. Hence my eternal and unconditional love (in the face of however unrequited it may be) of the world and its people. However ugly they may act. Because that ugliness is learned. And it can be unlearned. So, I turn in to find my beauty. And when I find it, I capture it. And when it is captured, I share it (photos, words, gestures, and especially what I teach my children). And hopefully it helps others look past their ugly, and turn inside, and find their beauty, and share it. And be happy. Because that will make me happy.
Alone in the ongoing moment, and the ongoing moment is always beautiful...

Unconditional Surrender is a sculpture by Seward Johnson resembling a photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt in August 1945: V-J day in Times Square. Through the help of several Sarasota County veteran's organizations, the 25-foot aluminum statue based on the photograph was donated to the county.

The Unconditional Love Krampus

This Krampus punishes his victims by following them around,
usually holding a wilted flower and having a sad look on his face,
appearing at important family gatherings or business meetings, and
embarrassing them in front of as many people as possible.
He does this by professing his undying love for them
while announcing with a loud booming voice, intimate details about their
role-playing sex games like "prisoner and the warden's wife".
His victims include corrupt politicians, door to door proselytizers,
overzealous tax collectors, and other people who burden the public
with their unrealistic sense of entitlement.
It has been a while since the last time I shared photos of the beautiful dogs that I have met during my walks, and the truth is that for a moment there have been no more walks and I lost that spark, so many things have happened lately that have changed my life, it have been very difficult times... but here I am again, with this mission, to share the most beautiful images of these little angels that regardless of our situation always give us the best of them, and that with just their simple company make our world a better place. Thanks to them for their unconditional love.
This beautiful dog is Moisy, 7 years old, and I met him in a cafeteria while he was accompanying very patiently his human friend on a date with friends. I was fascinated by her beautiful eyes and the interesting features he has on his face.

It's so hard to reckon how sick he is when he feels like this so much of the time. Blame it on his youth. A visit to a second internal medicine specialist, where they performed an ultrasound, revealed a thickening of two of the layers of his small intestines. No official diagnosis can be rendered without biopsies. Unfortunately the section that is thickened cannot be reached by endoscopy and they would therefore need to open him up and take biopsies that way. Some good news; back on antibiotics, a strict diet of ground beef and oatmeal and for 4 days has not had any blood or mucous in his stool. I will also be giving him Vitamin B12 injections weekly. The first one was today and my gosh I was nervous as I hate needles, but it went just fine and he didn't even flinch. Please keep my sweetest boy in your thoughts.

I am so grateful to this woman; For all the stories she told me, all that she tought me, all the snacks she brought me to school, all the sweaters she made me, for all the meals she cooked for me and for so much more.

Like so many of us, I did not grow up vegan. I ate meat, dairy, eggs and other animal products. I went to circus and zoo, wore leather and fur trims on my winter coats. I even had summer pets for several summers when I was a child...two innocent lambs who were loved during the summer and slaughtered when the colder weather arrived. We betrayed them, their trust, their unconditional love. 💔 I will never forgive myself selfishly agreeing to accept their sacrifice. 😢 I did not know better. I was happily oblivious to animal suffering and cruelty. To speciesism.
Through my kids I learned about compassionate living and choices. Through them I looked into the horrors of animal agriculture, the lives of these beautiful, sentient beings animal agriculture pays big bucks to hide. To the suffering and mistreatment of the animals in testing labs in the name of science. We ALL want to live our lives happily, respected and loved.
I have been vegan for five years this Thanksgiving. The best decision I have ever made. I wish I would have known and opened my eyes earlier.

Today is the World Vegan Day. Veganism is more than food, it is a lifestyle. It is a life of compassion, love, caring and respect to all beings and our planet.
