I couldn't believe it when I saw this train descending the Craig Branch. What I consider to be a very lucky catch.
View from the Burgfeldstand over Interlaken towards the Alps. The picture was took at ~2.000 hight meters, the mountains in the background are more than double that height!
It's amazing that this SD18 still survives in untouched Chessie System paint...in Kansas, of all places!!! Shortly after this photo was taken, work was performed that enabled it to move under its own power.
Les formes et couleurs incroyables du désert saoudien, et tout à coup : des ronds dans des carrés. Invariablement, la main humaine apporte au paysage des lignes très régulières, quand la nature tend plutôt à éroder de façon erratique.

Unbelievable shapes and colours in the Saudi desert. It is always so striking how humans make clear straight lines whereas nature erodes and shapes with more jagged edges. #CropArt

After taking three trips to the Grand Canyon, hoping for some spectacular storm light and getting skunked every time, I went up for a third attempt. The third time was the charm! I headed to Lipan Point and found myself right in front of an oncoming storm. The wind was fierce, lightning and thunder were getting closer, and I stayed there, terrified, waiting for the sun to rise because I had a feeling it would really be incredible. My instincts were right. I'll be feeling this high for a long time.
Unbelievable

This seems fake, but it's true. It's an annual tradition of dyeing the Chicago River green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. A person is rolling his kayak in the green chicago river.

This is another shot from the Jasper National Park in the Jasper Lake area. I was just stunned by the colors of the water as well as the sky that day...
At the start of our drive in Worcester we got stopped as usual at the level Crossing. Usually it's a boring diesel train going past, not this time! I couldn't believe my eyes, the Flying Scotsman just cruised past on the main line from Worcester to Hereford. The last time I visited probably the most famous steam engine in history was at the York train museum eleven years ago and it was in bits on the floor, what a treat to see it in the flesh at last.
This photo was taken on Regent Street, not far from Trafalgar Square, this photo is quite interesting, how did he do this?
