Within the Edmonton Cemetery is the Military Field of Honour, established in 1922. Marker stones are laid out with no distinctions between rank or file of the veterans. There are 80 Commonwealth war graves from the First World War and 51 from World War II.
Honour those who have served and continue to serve to defend peace.

Kent, CT - The Field of Flags, which has now traveled through many Connecticut towns and as far afield as Florida, is scheduled to come to Kent in August. The field, which has one flag for every soldier killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since the beginning of hostilities, honors those who have given the final measure for this country.

Tripler Fisher House sponsers an 8k run aboard Ford Island to remember the fallen - Hero and Remembrance Run. There is a boot with an American Flag and the photo and name of every service member that lost their life in combat since 9/11. What an emotional sight to see thousands of boots lining the street.
