Brian Luprek, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District, Youghiogheny Lake manager, attended the June 7, Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Evan Nogroski’s project, The Field of Flags. The event was held at the Addison Methodist Church, Addison, PA social hall.

Norgoski placed one flag for every U.S. service-person who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the Iraq & Afghanistan wars, totaling 6,663 flags.

The Field of Flags is lit during the evening so it will be visible to travelers around the clock. The display was dedicated during a June 17 ceremony and Luprek presented Nogroski a Certificate of Appreciation from Col Lindstrom. The display will be up until March 3, 2014.
