We had light rain for some hours this morning 👍. I loved walking in it.

An allée of London Plane trees, just like Paris!

One of the formal entries to the University of California at Berkeley campus. (and part of my normal morning walking trail)

I read recently that many of the formal parks in Paris favor London Plane trees in their allées.

UC Berkeley campus visit

Robin bisected a smallish blob of very dark brown soil, which appears to have been a planting hole.

Girls in Horse Riding Apparel.

South Hall: Home of Berkeley's School of Information, and lots of great people too. This is where I spend 90% of my waking day, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Mural in the Life Sciences Building

I like the rat with the big brain, upper right. Enlarge, for greater definition.

I have passed this building on my morning walk many times without ever trying to enter. (Many of the campus buildings are closed except to those with a key.) Today I realized that this one is open, and I went in for a short walk around. This mural is in the entry lobby.

Aesculus californica.

Faculty Glade, UCBerkeley campus. Early morning light. The greenery is coming on beautifully for spring, despite the decayed trunk below. This full leafiness embraces the lower branches. The tree trunk continues above in several slender forms which, so far, show few leaves.
