yes those are tetrapods being buried by the waves!
on a typical day, waves stay below this wall.....on this day, one of the year's biggest typhoon swept havoc at obuchi. On this wall, the ocean took the lives of two fisherman.
Shooting these photos was a bit scary. A wave could have just came up and taken me out, but I wanted to capture the rawness of this typhoon.
My neighborhood in Kita Ward during the typhoon. I went to check on the small stream near my house and found it had transformed into a rushing river. This is just at the start of the torrential rain so it will probably get much higher later.
