A walk outside the village when ZK314 a Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon FGR.4 comes trundling along, only had my kit zoom on but happy with this effort.
First time trying air show photography....not an easy task could have done with a longer lens (18-250mm) something like the Hubble telescope !!!
Full of admiration for the aircraft snappers !!
Without doubt the best Aviation photo I have ever taken. Typhoon display at Blackpool 9th August 2025, picks up the "fluff" with the sun creating the colours
29 Sqn special Typhoon FGR4 operating from 2 Sqn A/C at RAF Lossiemouth is seen here bashing the circuit with touch and go and low approach routines.
I have wanted to get this shot for some time now. It took many visits to finally get the jet flux into the rays of the setting sun and come away with a sharp image.
The image made it into my 2019 favourites folder as the last entry for that year.

Both me and the camera got quite wet - and this was with an umbrella, and just at the edge of the typhoon (otherwise I would have been smart enough to stay indoors). We both eventually dried up.
