Today is the International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight. For the second year in a row I am just not well enough to be there in person, least of all with a suitably long-lensed camera. The walking distances needed are too long without seating, the 150,000+ crowd too daunting and disabled seating spaces are first-come-first served, meaning I would have to be there hours before the show starts. I just can't. As a self-proclaimed 'avgeek' I am greatly saddened to be missing displays by the Red Arrows, Typhoon, Chinook and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight today, amongst many others.
Thankfully I can enjoy the show on YouTube as it is broadcast live by PlanesTV and, as I'm only a mile or so away, I can hear the display if I open the windows.
I hope that you like this semi-silhouette shot with the wonderful heat-haze detail from those two Eurojet EJ200 engines.

Night Flying Operations at Wittmund Airbase in Northern Germany.
Five Eurofighter Typhoon of the Tactical Air Force Wing 71 "Richthofen" conducted touch and goes and landing approaches at their homebase.
Night flying training is mostly conducted in winter times so this capture had to be taken at freezing temperatures... A title could also be "Frosty Light Trails"...

The Eurofighter Typhoon is a highly agile aircraft, designed to be a supremely effective dogfighter in combat. Later production aircraft have been increasingly better equipped to undertake air-to-surface strike missions and to be compatible with an increasing number of different armaments and equipment, including Storm Shadow and Brimstone missiles. The Typhoon had its combat debut during the 2011 military intervention in Libya with the UK's Royal Air Force (RAF) and the Italian Air Force, performing aerial reconnaissance and ground-strike missions.

Typhoon #21 brought serious damage to Taiwan. Power failure and suspense water supply for 1 or 2 days in several areas including my apartment. Fortunately it is recovered this morning. Extreme climate is really a big issue.
這次颱風我家真的停水，好幾次狼來了，這次是玩真的。
很多年沒再面臨停水，極端氣候，真的是很大的課題。
