The dusk sunbeams shining through the trees with a lonely robin catching the last evening rays and warmth perched on a branch of a tree which when you look closely has cobwebs connecting the branches.

Layers of twigs and branches in the garden.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate branches and twigs at Smile on Saturday.

As a proud mother of two boys, I’m a « log lady » (if you are a Twin Peaks fan, like myself, you will get it ;-)). Until very recently, I was in charge of keeping all the « beautiful » branches my sons were collecting during each walks we did… No matter the size, or the length , I had to carry those branches home and put them in our garden…I must admit, sometimes it was hilarious seeing me, trying to act classy and stylish while dragging a massive log or an insanely long branch from the park to our home in one hand and my purse in another. At that time I was doing it just to speed the process of getting back home in time but I wasn’t very happy about it at all…Stupide branches…

My oldest son isn’t in to branches anymore but the youngest one still loves collecting sticks, branches and rocks…And I still helping him carrying his treasures around :-). Strangely enough: I love it… and I hope he will continue to collect sticks for one more summer…please…

See you later my friends !

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Clear blue skies over Arundel Castle, West Sussex

A cloudy winter day, no more snow and the rain begins tonight. The bare trees soon will begin showing the first leaves of Spring.

Thanks for your visit and comments, much appreciated!

Bull Moose looking kind of silly, I think he is smiling as well! :)

I wandered into our neighbour's yard to get this shot. It is actually just a small yellow Arborvitae shrub, but with my vintage Pentacon AV 80mm lens (plus a 20mm Kenko extension tube), it turned into something completely different. I focused on a couple of the tiny branches, and was amazed at the bokeh. I think, right now, it's my favourite lens. But that could change :)

Another moody woodland shot. This one from a recent visit into my local wood on a frosty, misty morning.

This is Hazel, my favorite red squirrel on a thin branch. It's really astonishing how squirrels can use the smallest twig to stay off the ground and hold tight - even with just one hand! Don't remember what made the background on the right side so colorful, but I like it :)

Enjoy!

While I patiently wait for the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths to bloom, I enjoy seeing the sun light up the bare branches of the Red Twig Dogwood. Happy Fence Friday.
