More of downtown Jackson. Overall, I got the vibe that it looked like a downtown area that was starting to recover from being depressed, though I'd be curious to actually hear how well or poor this city is doing economically.
BTW, does anyone know if the dark brick building on the right is a TV station by any chance? I kept thinking it was one, but not sure myself..
Shown here are 3 old windows, exposed for the first time since possibly the 1960's. The windows once provided a view to Radio Studio 3E on the 3rd floor below. At this location in front of these 4th floor windows there was a client viewing room for the studio below. The location of the windows was hidden for many years by 2 video editing rooms in the area known as "EJ" or "Electronic Journalism". The EJ area was dismantled in 2005 after the opening of DPS on the 5th floor. This space was remodeled for use as offices for NBC News and MSNBC. The 3rd floor studio that these windows overlooked was used more recently as a prop storage area. It is adjacent to Studio 3C, the former Nightly News and WNBC studio, which is once again the Nightly News studio. Photo shot Sept 2007.

Must say as an American, I doubt in 12/2018 we'll see a major US Television Studio do the same anytime soon. Sadly we don't appreciate the press as much as Canada does and I'll leave it at that. At least I had my curiosity satisfied of what goes on in a TV Studio... and hopefully made some of the on-air folk feel genuinely appreciated for the hard & honourable work they do.

Got to tour the CBC Vancouver studios recently as part of their annual open house. Here's a photo from that adventure - and on this one, I wanted to make sure the studio lights were part of the photograph.

This is a worksheet from a children's math books series called Mathmania, which is made by Highlights magazine. I have more of these to upload. I will hopefully upload some of my favorites. Basically, a TV station looks for a kid to host their new show. Who is able to audition? You do the math.
This would be a great worksheet to use in schools!

This is part of the outdoor set used for the filming of soap opera Coronation Street. This has, along with several others, were built c1990 opposite the familiar terraced houses on the odd numbered side of the street.
Between 1988 1999 the Coronation Street set formed the highlight of the Granada Studio Tour complex.
This is part of exterior set which has been used in the production of soap opera Coronation Street since 1982. Between 1988 and 1999 the street formed the highlight of the Granada Studios Tour.
The look of the street was based on Archie Street in Ordsall, demolished in 1971.

The Mac Computer Expo was held in Petaluma, CA on October 6, 2012. Leo Laporte, the host of TWiT.tv and a Petaluma local, gave a tour to the vendors and speakers of the Expo. I was there for my second time as a speaker, this time on Reputation Management. We first had dinner at Cucina Paradiso then walked to the TWiT studios.
