This is some sort of tutorial on how I do my brick wall backgrounds. Though scrapbooking papers can give you a very realistic and easy brick background, sometimes I love to make a "real" wall with texture and color.
The wall is made out of styrofoam, the window is made of foamboard.
Let's start the paint job! I'm using acrylic paints, different brands and different colors. My art teacher in school told me once that a color looks more real when it's mixed and not just taken from the container. So, at least mix two browns, water them down and work in layers. You can use dark red, too, as well as ochre. It depends on which style of bricks you want to re-create. If you're not sure what to go for, find some photos online and try to mix the colors according to that inspiration pictures.
As you can see, I've already started to paint the "grout". I mix white and black to get different shades of grey (no pun or literature reference intended) for the grout.

This was a particularly hard image to work so it is a great tutorial in how photoshop can rescue an image that suffered from average light. Enjoy.

Here is my third tutorial, which shows step-by- step how to create wire-wrapped earring bases, filled with lacy ornaments. This pattern is representative of my designs.
This tutorial requires you to have some soldering skills, but will demonstrate steps for soldering the frame and balling up wire ends.
You will find here 51 steps, illustrated with 83 pictures addressed to ADVANCED designers. However, I also encourage INTERMEDIATE skilled jewelry designers to take on this tutorial – the steps are well illustrated with very detailed pictures.
Mea culpa D: Mas dá pra entender. Primeira linha: da esquerda pra direita. Segunda linha: da direita pra esquerda. Terceira linha: da esquerda pra direita.
Materiais utilizados:
· Base Fortalecedora - Casco de Cavalo
· Esmalte Colorama - Misturinha
· Esmalte Speciallitá Hits - 122
· Esmalte Impala - Rio Doce
· Esmalte Risqué - Menta
· Extra Brilho - Colorama
· Pincel MUITO fino
Comofas//

Rose water has a number of uses, both cosmetic and culinary.
The toughest thing about making your own is convincing yourself to boil water for several hours during a hot and humid summer day.

I got a nice message today that reminded me why I like writing these tutorials and sharing the photographic techniques I've learnt.
Well this one is really very simple and I'm sure many of you will know the techniques already, but I've been meaning to relay my particular way of doing the Orton effect for a while now.
So I've made this tutorial in two parts, the first part looks at a few very basic techniques for editing RAW in Adobe Lightroom, the second part looks at applying the Orton effect to images (JPEG or RAW) in Photoshop. If you don't take photos in RAW or use Lightroom but you still want to learn about the Orton effect then you may want to skip down to the second section of this tutorial.
Anyway read on (in the comments below), and if you like it (or even think it's crap), please feel free to leave a comment saying so!
