This is my latest video tutorial on how I created this image using photoshop. If you want to download it you can see it here www.christianfletchertraining.wordpress.com
This was a particularly hard image to work so it is a great tutorial in how photoshop can rescue an image that suffered from average light. Enjoy.

Here is my third tutorial, which shows step-by- step how to create wire-wrapped earring bases, filled with lacy ornaments. This pattern is representative of my designs.
This tutorial requires you to have some soldering skills, but will demonstrate steps for soldering the frame and balling up wire ends.
You will find here 51 steps, illustrated with 83 pictures addressed to ADVANCED designers. However, I also encourage INTERMEDIATE skilled jewelry designers to take on this tutorial – the steps are well illustrated with very detailed pictures.
If you like this one I have written 3 other tutorials which you can find >> here <<

I got a nice message today that reminded me why I like writing these tutorials and sharing the photographic techniques I've learnt.
Well this one is really very simple and I'm sure many of you will know the techniques already, but I've been meaning to relay my particular way of doing the Orton effect for a while now.
So I've made this tutorial in two parts, the first part looks at a few very basic techniques for editing RAW in Adobe Lightroom, the second part looks at applying the Orton effect to images (JPEG or RAW) in Photoshop. If you don't take photos in RAW or use Lightroom but you still want to learn about the Orton effect then you may want to skip down to the second section of this tutorial.
Anyway read on (in the comments below), and if you like it (or even think it's crap), please feel free to leave a comment saying so!
This is another tutorial I wrote for PSDTUTS, you can check it out at psdtuts.com/designing-tutorials/design-a-sin-city-style-p...
Pin them together roughly just to try them on for size. I did it here with WST for a couple of reasons- one- to see if I wanted to bind the exterior seams just to be different and two- to get a good photo and to test the fit correctly. I decided against the exterior seams. And because of that, this is pinned wrong, I undid these and re-pinned it RST. (Right Sides Together) But for illustration, this is OK. DON'T pin yours like this unless you like seams to show!
Sew a stay-stitch a scant 1/2" on both sides of the main piece in the middle , probably about 16" long or so.
Pin the right side piece center mark to the center mark on the main piece. Then pin all the way around, clipping the curved areas just to the stay-stitching, but not into it. Pin, pin, pin. Then using a 1/2" seam allowance, sew the side pieces into place. I sewed with the main piece on top, so I could see the stay-stitching and make sure that I sewed inside that line, to be sure to enclose that line, I didn't want to see it later when I turned it right side out.
made a little tutorial on how to make shotgun shells out of lego antennas incase anyone wanted to make some.
