This is a shot of the bridge that links the Bentalls Shopping Mall with its car park in Kingston. There were lots of shoppers coming and going so, I had to wait a while before I got a clear view.
The shot has been rotated 90 degrees to enhance abstraction and add confusion.

My SPC 4-4-0 No. 3 is seen pulling a short freight train out of the tunnel at the Pennsylvania Live Steamers (PLS) in Collegeville, PA.
This is a live steam locomotive that uses alcohol flames to warm water in the boiler. The pistons and valve gear are exactly like the full size locomotive.
Early in the morning a walker disappears down the long vermillion tunnel made by thousands of torii gates leading up Inari Mountain at the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shinto shrine in Kyoto, Japan.

Von hier ist es nur ein kurzer Weg zum West India Quay (Docklands), wo man neben einigen netten Pubs das geniale Museum of London Docklands findet.

The short tunnel from the Union Canal Tunnel Park in a cloudy day. This is one of my favorite places to walk around in all the seasons. There are still many trees that Autumn hasn't touched. Love the still water there! (Best viewed in large)
Kings Cross tunnel. I always love this tunnel . The positioning of the three people walking towards me and the colours the lady in front was wearing gaive this a staged look.
A rather mysterious space, I think it might be the entrance to a new condo building - there's an opening in the mid-point of the tunnel or it could be a service entrance. The space was posted as being private property - not a pedestrian pass through. Off to the right and out of the frame a man stood watching so I couldn't explore further.

Queenscliff Tunnel.
The wormhole (also known as the Queenscliff Tunnel) was constructed in 1908 by local fishermen as a shortcut through from Manly to Freshwater beach to the north.
I have been meaning to get to this location for a while now, and finally had an opportunity early on Friday morning.
This is actually quite a low and narrow tunneel - definitely a solo shooting oppotunity.
CSX I141, led by classic C40-8W 7788, exits the 955ft Big South Tunnel, about to enter the 678ft Little South Tunnel, at South Tunnel, TN.
The west end of the longest of 3 tunnels on US 14-16-20 in Shoshone Canyon enters the crystalline core of the Rattlesnake Anticline near the Buffalo Bill Dam just west of Cody Wyoming. The 3,202 foot long tunnel, the longest in Wyoming, was dug in 1960 when the road way was moved away from the river. The rocks, mostly gneiss and granitic gneiss (at this location) date to around 2.6 billion years ago. Geologist call this time period during the Precambrian the Archean Eon. These rocks represent a time when Wyoming was a separate microcontinent called the Wyoming Craton which existed 500 million years before the North American Continent formed. These rugged rocks in Shoshone Canyon are a favorite of climbers.

Even with as many photos as I have seen at this location, coming through the Wawona Tunnel in Yosemite for the first time really knocked my socks off. It reminded me of my gasping response the first time I saw the Tetons driving up out of Jackson Hole. In the days we were in Yosemite I took a gazillion photos here but I liked this one best, moving right to incorporate the blooming bushes in the foreground, and with El Capitan wearing a cloud hat.
The Donner Railroad tunnels. Built in 1866 and closed for train traffic in 1993. A very fascinating hike full of historic achievement and graffiti. Most of which was actually very well done. It was 5.8 miles from the entrance to the end and back. Bring a flashlight and a tripod. Its a photographic dream with light coming through the narrow windows and bouncing off the diverse rock walls. Maybe not worthy of your bucket list but recommended if your in the Donner summit area.

Happy Monochrome Monday! This couple was walking hand in arm through the tunnel under Pacific Coast Highway 101 at Cape Perpetua, Oregon.
Taken from inside one of the many tunnels on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This tunnel is on the higher elevation where the color was past it's peak when we were there, so I processed it in mono.
I've been working a lot this past week but now I'm off for 5 days and I'm excited to get outside, see some friends and have some fun. Happy hump day y'all. :-))
