“SPRINTER”
The sprinter sculpture was designed by artist Dominique Sutton and commissioned for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. The sculpture is 16 meters high and weighs more than 8 tonnes. The sculpture was part of a set of three sculptures located on top of Centre Point Tower. The other two sculptures were then relocated to Canberra after the Games, however the Sprinter has found a new home in Sydney Olympic Park.
I have wanted to get this for quite some time, and this afternoon was time…. The air was still (forecasted otherwise), so off I went… However, when I got there, it was far from still, and having to dodge 11KVA meant I had issues, so want I REALLY want, will now have to wait a little longer - stay tuned!
Almost the weekend here... can't wait to sit back and relax...!! =D
If you live in the other parts of the world, don't be jealous, your turn is coming soon.. hehe.. =)
Thanks to Angelique for the fabulous texture: www.flickr.com/photos/liek/

Meeting at the Café in Folkestone Harbour for some fun pictures with Anna Braithwaite, breakfast and a tune up first.
The last time I visited Tsukiji Fish Market was back in the Winter of 2006, and I remember I had just got my 50/1.4 lens, using it on a 30D body, running around snapping everything I saw. This time it was with a Rollei and more of a relaxed stroll through the narrow paths, trying to avoid the electric karts, observing the people who work there and trying to capture a few portraits. Surprisingly, most were so accomodating and probably more curious about the Rollei in my hand as I was about the giant tunas. This fellow kindly posed for a photo as his boss glimpsed the Rollei and told him to get on with his work :)
@Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo (the day I got out of bed at 5am - a rare thing - and had fresh, raw samon and tuna for lunch - another rare thing).

no crop.. which is pretty damn good considering I was using a 2 sec self timer and just a little table tripod! I love the guitar, this is a cheap classical accoustic my cousin let me have, but it works just fine. =)

TUNE:
This picture is definitely out of my usual style and comfort zone, but I felt very inspired by Leaf's aesthetic so I thought it'd be fun to do something a little more twisted. Plus I don't get the chance to break out my male av a lot, so I figured he'd work well in this setting.
A little side note about the title of the picture. Manyo Maash literally means Witch Marsh in Korean, hence the translated title.
Moving on to the featured item:
AsteroidBox.'s new Nailed Posture collar for all of your morbid accessory needs! It's a collar with a nail right under ready to piece into your skull, what's cooler than that? It comes in a fatpack for 185L in Gold, Black, and Silver for the metals and white and black for the rest of the collar. There's a clean and bloody version of the nail along with a bloody chin tattoo to give you that pierced head look!
This adorably morbid collar can be picked up right now from ROMP all the way till the 26th!
Thank you again for joining me in this picture, Leaf! <3
