202 / 365 : Beer Garden!
It happened! It finally happened : Beer Garden has started in Sapporo!
From today on up to the 15th of August Odori Park (the main and most characteristic in Sapporo) will host this amazing event : 5 blocks of dedicated summery open beer drinking place!
Every single day it will be packed with drunk japanese people, coming to get wasted after a honorable day of work. The beer is good, the food is good and the people is fun : can you ask for something better?
So today i had a busy afternoon at the end of which i received a call from Dave-The-Roommate™ telling me the great news: "it started! be here as soon as possible!"
And hell yeah, i did.
Too bad i got "stuck" enjoying the evening and i didn't know that at 9 o'clock, they turn off all the light and close it all. So turned out i didn't have the time to take any better photo BUT i still wanted to share with you guys the great news so ended up posting this one even though i don't really like it..
Tomorrow's another day!

177 / 365 : Copycat a.k.a. The Wedding Repetition Factor
I'm absolutely amazed by how much japanese wedding DO resemble each other.
There is so less possibility to "personalize" your wedding here... or at least, this is what i've been noticing while training during the past 4 weekends...
I mean, is it the same in your country?
Because, when it comes to Italy, i can assure you it's absolutely not.
Every wedding is different, detail-wise, and ESPECIALLY every after-the-ceremony party is pretty much unique and reflect the attitude of the married couple.
Here in Japan, as far as i've been able to discover, you can choose WHERE to have the ceremony and the party. They have this huge and, don't get me wrong, beautiful buildings where they held weddings. You have the chapel, the "restaurant" and all the special effects.
But once you've chosen the place, BAM: it's gonna fall under the "style" of the place and be EXACTLY the same as the other wedding held int here. Really really weird.
I have to say it helps a lot while shooting pictures, since if you remember the order, you'll know exactly what is going to happen next, who's gonna talk and even at what side of what table the couple is gonna stand. Unbelievable.
Today i found myself thinking at that and i wanted to try and share the feeling with you guys, taking a copycat shot of this other photo of mine.

128/365 Forgot the emotion that is felt each of which streets are flooded and formed large rivers filled with stories for my little paper boats."Behind both Cyber chaos, is still in my imagination a bit of innocence that would share with my nieces and nephews. I remembered that cloudy days were to escape the school and household duties, was time to dress me sailor, invent boats, wear plastic boots, running to the Park, which by then would be place to catch toads... no chaos, no problems, nothing absurd comments, was happy.I wanted that my nephew out of this routine, I wanted that it drenched from head to toe, that did not matter you if you want to hives that come with dirty water... saw his smile, his enthusiasm, dress of sailors, we did our boats, but was not equal... "I appreciate the valuable opportunity I have to see it to laugh, to feel that peace transmitting it me, share with me this time dresses of sailors"-CLSiento yesterday not to upload any photos, I had a book ("Trafalgar") that read, on boats, I inspire in the for this photo.

How nuts are these two? Curved fronts, tall tapered and splayed legs, curved tall backs, subtle tufting. Take a guess where these are going....... The pros know....
182 / 365 : The Unbearable Lightness of Being
I was walking and chatting with my friend James when i spotted this picture.
Yes, i didn't spot the guys, i spotted the photo itself.
And i wanted it to be good. Turned out to be, to my eyes at least!
Opened my backpack in the middle of the conversation, mounted my 85mm, crouched next to the glass wall you can see on the left side of the image and snapped 2 shots.
Then the guy noticed me, and i new it was all gone. I had it or i lost it.
And for a second, when i looked at it in my camera, i thought i lost it, big time. But NO! :)
With a slight crop and the B&W treatment finally became exactly how i saw it in my mind!
Regards the title, it's a famous book from the Czech author Milan Kundera.
While post processing this, i kept asking myself why was the guy looking so far away.
Couldn't find an answer, obviously, but for some reason that book's title started to flow inside my train of thoughts and didn't stop until i decided to use it as the title.
Weird :)

203 / 365 : Lanterns & Reflections
I loved those two lanterns as soon as i stepped in the Izakaya with Emilio (not just a great friend, he's also the percussionist in Sapporo Sound System!) tonight!
And the reflections of the inside/outside lights just made it more perfect!
