The early morning sun has just illuminated this eastbound out of Scranton Pa. with new Plymouths headed for the Chrysler facility at Pocono Summit. This may be the EL "Pocono Summit Turn" job and those TTX flats also look brand new. In the distance on the left is a caboose coupled up against a swithcher and on the right is an westbound with an F7 leading two SD's. If the date of this photo is 10-21-1973 would those autos be 1973 or 1974 models? Howard Kent Jr.

In July we went to the Silicon Valley S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts Aviation, & Math) Festival at the San Jose Reid Hillview Airport. Lots of people, many vintage cars & airplanes, robots, and more.
This is the face of a Cessna 400, also called TTx. It is the Mercedes of single engine recreational aircrafts. This is at Trade Winds Aviation, a flight operation owned by my friend Walter Gyger.

Rock Island's ex-BCR&N between Burlington and Cedar Rapids was almost completely ripped out following a bridge washout in the late '70s. However, two few small segments lived on; one in Columbus Junction, and another in Burlington. Unfortunately, the stretch in CJ has since been abandoned, but the Burlington Junction Railway is still operating on a few miles of track most every day!
I was hoping to shoot their C415 in operation (which I later did), but for most of this day, they were switching with this freshly-repainted ex-UP GP15. The 639 had previously been UP's unit of the same number (UPY), being built for the MP in 1979 as their 1639.
Ecco l' ETR521.009 di Trenitalia-Tper (TTX) in corsa presso Cadeo, appena fuori Piacenza, appena partito nel suo viaggio per effettuare il R 3911 da Piacenza per Ancona, ridente cittadina sul mare nonchè capoluogo della Regione Marche...Il convoglio di costruzione Hitachi è stato denominato da Trenitalia Rock, seguendo il filone musicale adottato per il trasporto regionale inaugurato dal Minuetto, gli ALe/ALn502, seguito dagli Jazz, ETR324, ETR425, 526 e per ultimi arrivano i Pop ovvero gli ETR104, senza dimenticare i convogli formati dalle carrozze a due piani di nuova generazione denominate Vivalto. Qui è in configurazione a 5 casse ed esiste, come per i Jazz, a 4 e a 6 per servizi a basso o alto regime di trasporto viaggiatori
C'est en cette belle matinée du Jeudi 18 Avril 2024, qu'est aperçu une G1206 en livrée TSO (Travaux du Sud Ouest) en-tête de ce beau TTX composé de wagons plats, d'une dégarniseuse, de wagons VAD, et d'une Bourreuse 108-32 U, avec enfin en cv deux V-211 en livrée TSO ! De quoi faire un beau TTX TSO qui roulait péniblement jusqu'à Narbonne en MA80 ! Le convoie est capturés peu-avant la courbe qui le mène à Névian !

Long lines of TTX 89' flatcars await the scrapper's torch at Cresson Steel. A small locomotive deadline awaits a similar fait Eventually the three F-Units would be resold to new owners. All were originally purcahsed by Norfolk Southern to expand their OCS locomotive fleet.

TTX 474441 was one of 1,000 F85B class flatcars built by Pullman Standard between 1958 and 1960. This specific car was actually ordered by the WP and transferred to TTX. Note the distinctive 3-piece sidesill construction, giving this car a "fishbelly" appearance. Also notice the distinctive National C-1 70 ton trucks.
