This station was built in the 1870s and was originally located in the village of Aultsville, Ontario.
Aultsville, along with Farran's Point, Wales, Woodlands, Dickinson's Landing, Maple Grove, Santa Cruz, Milles Roches, and Moulinette disappeared beneath the waters of the newly created Lake St. Lawrence during the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1958.
The engine and cars are sitting on an original section of the track. The new CNR track was relocated about a mile to the north at the time of the seaway construction.
Trunk is 9 3/4" wide, 7 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" deep. It is covered in brown leather after applying wall compound over the staples to smooth them out. The "wood strips" are made by cutting round weatherstripping foam in half, gluing it to the trunk, then coating it with multiple coats of craft glue, several coats of tan acrylic paint, a couple of coats of brown acrylic glaze and finally a few more coats of white glue as a sealer. Add hardware and paint the HP on the end and it's done!
