Based on a bloggers bundle (details in blog post), pieced and quilted with Aurifil 50 wt (2000 on the front, 2024 in the bobbin), kona back. This was my first time playing with triangles :)
The Winter Triangle asterism as seen from my backyard.
The winter triangle includes Procyon, Betelgeuse, and Sirius.

Triangle Park in Vancouver primarily refers to a small park area located along the False Creek seawall, within the Olympic Village neighbourhood.
This park is known for its waterfront location and is distinguished by a contemporary design that features a sculptural structure and custom-designed wave walls that serve as seating, inspired by the water and the area's former industrial activity (shipbuilding). Although often referred to as "Triangle Park" in planning documents and databases, it is one of several small green spaces the city has created or renamed, such as the recently named McAuley Park (formerly known as the "Kingsway Triangle").
Macro Mondays - theme: Triangle(s). HMM!!! A quite ugly shot but I couldn't find any good triangle for today's MM.
Some days photos can be hard to come by. This day was the polar opposite of that. I was shooting in all directions constantly because the weather just kept changing and becoming better and better. Here's one of the images from that special day - a mountain silhouette with some excellent light and character at its summit.
Neat!
Unusual road sign with Orion and the Winter Triangle of stars (Betelgeuse, Sirius & Procyon) in the background.
I finished my triangle quilt this weekend! I was going to add a pieced binding and had it all cut out and ready. Then I went to get the mail and opened a fabric purchase, laid it near the quilt and discovered I liked the striped fabric so much, I used it for the binding! pretty great timing! The binding is Alexander Henry seaweed stripe.
A couple mistakes by the novice quilter (me). Used organic natural cotton batting. Not good for a quilt with lots of white-I can see all the little brown specks that are in this batting...
Also, used cream colored thread to quilt on a white fabric.
Also, got a big bubble in the backing after free motion quilting.
such is life.

Triangles are used a lot. Decoratively, Structurally, and to Tessellate or Compose. Fire Surround Triangles if a little rusty!
DPS Assignment: "Shapes: Triangle"
Took this shot precisely a year ago... LOL
And guess what? I found some triangles... not just on the pencils... but also the tips of these color pencils. :)

I've had this brooch for a very, very long time. If I'm not mistaken, I bought it at an art festival. When I opened my jewel box and saw it sitting there, it's triangle shape struck me as perfect for today's theme. HMM
