Saturday saw the occasion of the annual Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lanc's family open day.
This year's event was held at my home depot of Lillyhall and with a busy itinerary of my own that day (being on a four day rest) I chose to honour the event with my presence shortly after it began at 10am.
The downside of that early-doors attendance was that the orientation of the depot meant sunshine on the rear of buses and consequential photographic aggravation.
The first of the "into the sun" shots shows a surprise visitor to the event, Stagecoach Bluebird reserve Volvo B10 / Plaxton Interurban artic' 71-seater No.51063.
Although carrying a DVLA "heritage" registration it was originally P563MSX and was one of a pair new in late 1996 to Fife Scottish.
