È una ricerca confusa e affannosa di qualcosa che ci conduca al significato. È uno scorcio momentaneo, un volo oltre un'ombra che però resta radicata nella terra. Casa e lontananza. Punti che si toccano fino a sovrapporsi, in base a chi sei. E ne ho viste di persone camminare il mio stesso marciapiede, io con un mare calmo in viso e nella mano una chiave, loro trasportando borse piene di preoccupazioni e con volti segnati dalle 6 del mattino. E ne ho affrontati di viaggi in cui ero come loro, con la lontananza a riporre la speranza di una dolcezza in più in quel desiderio forzato di tornare a casa, con in braccio un filo di purezza.
Siamo vite che si intrecciano, e non abbiamo casa se non nel viaggio per raggiungerla.

Home and distance. Points that touch untill overlapping each other, depends on who you are. And I've seen people walking my own sidewalk, me with a calm sea in the face and in my hand a key, them carrying their bags full of worries and with faces marked by 6am. And I have faced travels where I was like them, with the distance placing the hope for sweetness in that forced desire to return home, with in the arm a thread of purity.
We are lives that are intertwined, and we have no home but the journey to reach it.

Siamo le aspettative che generiamo negli altri. E l'errore che commettiamo, trascinati dai ritmi di relazioni solo sfiorate, è quello di rimanere schiavi di quelle aspettative. E smettiamo di sapere chi siamo. Rimaniamo da parte, come dall'altro lato della strada, a rimirare un riflesso, un'ombra, un cono di luce. Ad osservare noi stessi e quello che eravamo, mentre continuiamo a voler essere solo ciò che gli altri si aspettano da noi. E a un certo punto la luce si spegne.

La scelta della luce, in questa nebbia di oscurità che sale come un lenzuolo, appena dietro gli angoli dei tuoi occhi. La scelta della luce è coraggio, a volte è incoscienza, o forse spregiudicatezza. È reazione di spinta, è opporsi all'onda, è andare avanti col peso sulle spalle.
E quanti ne ho incontrati che, tra luce e oscurità, hanno scelto la penombra, giudicandosi saggi ma erano soltanto vinti dalla più primitiva paura.
