A rather contemplative tree on the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal. It looks like it is pondering some deep and thorny issue.

Da un suggerimento di Ciao Anita!.

Whilst the family were tobogganing on the Goodwood estate golf course, my eye was drawn to a tree at the very top of the hill. It struck me that it looked like a love-heart (soppy me!). It was brilliantly contrasted against the winter sky and the snow-laden ground. So took out my trusty old phone for a snap....I wish I'd had my DLSR with me, but hey the best camera is the one you have with you!!

There was just not enough room to back off to get all of this tree in the shot. Which was a shame as it was quite imposing and dominating its neighbours as we walked past. This shot taken at 16mm was the widest I could go, but still, the structure and stature is still impressive.

One more from Tuesday morning, I loved the light pouring in from behind this set of trees so I crouched low to isolate them from the fields beyond.
