I think the Red Oak is one of the prettiest trees in the fall.
They can reach 60 ft in height and 40 to 50 ft across.
Thank you for your comments.
I was thinking of the thought of skipping rocks as I noticed the reflections of the moon last night from the first Super Moon of 2018. These dead trees in the water provided some nice framing for this capture. It was bitterly cold but I caught some truly amazing images that I will share with everyone over the next several days.

Das Silberbachtal gehört zu den romantischsten Wanderrevieren des Teutoburger Waldes. In einem Tal unter alten Bäumen plätschert der Bach dahin, umfließt Geröll und mächtige Sandsteinblöcke.
The Silberbachtal is one of the most romantic hiking tours of the Teutoburger Wald. In a valley under old trees, the brook ripples along, streams and mighty sandstone blocks.
If you drive from Palma to Sóller, don't take the tunnel. Ride the beautiful, winding road. The trees are looking for new visitors:). Seen this old olive tree in Mallorca, Spain.

I had to do a black and white photo to be artistic, although I don't think this is particularly inspiring.

Bois d'arc tree bearing a plentiful crop of "horse apples" (not to be confused with "road apples").
A tree I drive by often. I like the way it looks sitting by itself in a large field. This is the same tree as in www.flickr.com/photos/brilesb/2394154173/

I was reminded of this place from some excellent shots taken by Neo7Geo , so I thought I would go up and take a look for myself. It didn't disappoint, some interesting shots to be taken up there.

A long range shot of some Welsh Woodland lit up magnificently last week.
A crop from a much bigger 3:2 shot that I think works better in High Res on a big screen. This is the abridged version for the mobile generation.
Chimp, I promise, I'm not turning into you. ;)
Obviously, I'm once again way behind on flickr this week. I've got photos sitting in my camera that need to be uploaded, streams to go through. Again. So, here we are, same as last week!(or was it the week before?) This one isn't as good, but I think that can be forgiven considering I shot this as we breezed past going 65 mph.
