Long Beach, CA - I photographed these pieces of jewelry for Tangerine Treehouse, an independent maker here in Long Beach.
The setup was pretty simple but allowed for a nice studio look. The pieces were suspended above a flexed piece of matboard that created a cyclodrome and gradient. Light source was a single small softbox with a compact mirror on the bottom to add a little kick...

Set on a tree-lined street, 62 / 64 Granville Road has 3 units. The first floor, 62 Granville, is a 2 bedroom, 2-study apartment with a garden view. The second floor is the owner's unit. The "Treehouse" is on the third floor; windows on 4 sides overlook the maples.
Kind of old school. Between this stovetop and the grill outdoors, it is easy to prepare a nice meal at the treehouse. You can eat indoors at the window seat or out on the lanai, or even in front of the TV screen. WE brought the fused glass tiles over from a glassmaker in Benicia, California.
We found a tiny hidden swing off in the corner of one exterior balcony - there were all kinds of trap doors and hidden rooms all throughout the treehouse...
This is the treehouse at my aunt's summer home in Roscoe, NY (see my roscoe set for more photos from there).
I did a lot of post processing in order to convey the feeling the treehouse gives me. It is creepy, evil and sinster and I think that evil creatures who eat souls live inside of it.
Lunch and breakfast with the cardinals. evening is a little chilly for eating out, but very cozy inside next to the Jotul stove.
The cable you see is one of the garnier limbs fixing the structure to the trees. The house is actually suspended from several trees, this one at the shower and wall to house being one.
