Koari heeft in de zomer een boomhuis gemaakt. Op het balkon hebben ze vervolgens het toneelstuk Romeo en Julia uitgevoerd.
I figured the tree technique I came up with (using stacked lassos) might work pretty well for microscale so I gave it a treehouse :)

Happy Window Wednesday - brought to you by unique finds that make me smile when walking the neighbourhood :-)

A Tree Swallow completes a food delivery to its hatchlings in a nest box on Mud Lake. The last time I saw a swallow attending to hatchlings ended in misfortune before my eyes as a rat snake raided their nest in a hollow tree along the bank and took all the babies. This nest box sits far from shore so is a much less likely target, at least for snakes and such. I hope to see this brood fledge and add to the small year-round population here.
As soon as I saw Tigger in the Winnie the Pooh set, I knew I had to make him bounce. I soon realised that to make this happen would require Tigger to be on something elevated. So, the next logical thought was to build his treehouse around the technic contraption.
I tried to follow the style of the Winnie the Pooh set so that they could be displayed together. However, I ended up needing the leaves from Winnie's tree, leaving it a little bare!

Aryo's Treehouse is complete with bunkbeds, a viewing platform on the 2nd level, and electricity!
I have decided that with the help of WOMBO and my imagination that I would design interior rooms for my imaginary woodland treehouse. This is Bedroom 1.
Eveleigh Treehouse responds to the history and character of the site’s former incarnation as Eveleigh Railway Workshops.
Situated on the traditional land of the Gadigal people, Eveleigh Treehouse is conceived as a site of belonging for adults and children alike, a retreat from the bustle of daily life. Built from steel and recycled hardwood, the two drop-like forms of the Treehouse are whimsical.
Our desire was to integrate the community as a key component of the construction process. The Eveleigh Treehouse required thousands of forged steel leaves, each individually hammered and shaped to ensure a non-homogenous outcome.
To realise the Treehouse, we partnered with Eveleigh Works to run a series of workshops where participants could learn basic skills in blacksmithing. Under careful instruction, they heated and hammered each steel leaf into its own unique form. Participants also engraved their initials on each leave, providing a sense of ownership to all involved.

Treehouse take 2 in summer. Still want to explore this shot further as it was a bit hazy that day and the sky wasn't as dark as I wanted.

The Coles Little Treehouse books have been a recent goodwill giveaway/collectible from Coles supermarkets in Australia. The tiny books measure 85mm x 53mm. This is smaller than a standard business card.
Soon after Carrot was carefully extracted out of Joe's mouth, Marble and Phillip fled to the safety of their treehouse. Dang it. They forgot that cats can climb trees!
Becky and I were passing by the tree house one night when we saw that a bunch of other things had gathered around it. This steam engine rolled up right next to the tree house.
More mucking about with PS lighting effects. I like this (well... better than the original)... but I'm not sure how to remedy that purple sky. And the greens look too green.
Ah, who cares. That's a challenge for another day.
I just like this house. And its tree.
This amazing construction is a supersize treehouse in the gardens at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland. The treehouse holds a Café and a separate two story restaurant.
Chas is finding it harder to sit still in the treehouse. We wind up migrating around the yard, playing, while naming the birds we hear sing. It seems that the hummingbirds are talking nearly all the time.
I designed a treehouse and built it over 3 days with friends for a fashion shoot. Apart from the construction timber It's all made with reclaimed materials such as delivery pallets and stained glass.
Winter Treehouse Cabin. Would you like to spend a night in this luxus cabin in the trees? I would personally love it!

One of North America's hardier swallows, the Tree Swallow (Tachycineta bicolor) feasts upon flying insects. To meet this challenge, it has evolved into quite an aerialist, capable of hitting speeds of 25 miles an hour and turning on a dime...okay, maybe on a quarter. Typically nesting in abandoned tree cavities (hence their common name), tree swallows lay between two and eight eggs that require two to three weeks of incubation. Here, a female tree swallow returns to her own nest to incubate her eggs. Less than 22 days after that laying the eggs, the babies are ready to leave the treehouse.
