Pine barrens treefrogs often have bright orange coloration under the legs and on the feet.

A nice poser for the camera. A cold-blooded vertebrate; a change from my more usual invertebrates.

He's got red eyes. We couldn't resist.

Spotted him from afar.....he was nestled in the center of a leaf.

Crop of side view to show detail. It's so cool how the brown on the side of his head looks like bark while the rest of him/her is green like leaves. The wonder of camouflage in nature!

First time using the ITT MagicFlash with my SX-70. Luckily the treefrog was patient with me.

A Gray Treefrog perched on one of my hummingbird feeders in Norman, OK.

We found three gray treefrogs in the pool yesterday afternoon. I continue in my quest to get a picture of the yellow underside of their legs...

Grey Treefrog (green phase) on a raspberry leaf. Duluth, MN.

Marla startled this pacific tree frog who was hiding in the grass in WIldcat Canyon, Contra Costa County. He accommodated me with this photogenic pose log enough to get a couple of shots.
