Here a well-known spot in the park, where a tree had fallen on the road, after that, it was dug so that the cars could pass through again.
By being in the photo, does that give you an idea of the gigantic size of these trees?

Moody Vosges
This one is a moody one ...
I headed up for a fiery sunset, I ended up with that moody scene, but at the end I'm really glad of the result !
I remember we tried to catch the 'promissing' beautiful sunset. On our way there was a lot of fog everywhere, the atmosphere was totally orange. Unfortunately we could not stop on the road for a decent point of view. We continued and we stopped near a forest, after some meters and as the visibility was going down, I found this interesting contrasted moody scene showing the fog on one hand and the darkness of the woods on the other one.
In those cases I would have liked to find other compositions, but time was ticking, each shot tooks seconds (25 seconds for this one), and luminosity was declining rapidly.

The light in this enchanted forest somewhere in Northern Finland can be truly special. I could spend whole day there just photographing the beautiful trees. Just magical. . . .

This one was a bit tricky ; normally I try to have a shorter shutter speed (around 1/6 sec) to capture some details of the waterfall, but here as there was a lot of foam in the water.. A shorter exposure would have fixed too much that foam and drown too much attention in this the scene… I prefered to have a longer shutter speed (2 secs), and have a smooth and motion in the foreground. Leading to the center of that waterfall.
Another solution would have been to take 2 shots : and blend them afterwards in Photoshop, but having the contrast between the silky water and the static rocks suited me.
What are your thoughts ? Does that soft water in the waterfall bothers your ?
