While in the forest, the rangers were burning dead wood and i fell in love with the smoke on light effect.
Two trees before sunrise. One taken only seven minutes after the other. Was very windy this morning and it blew in the clouds quickly. I arrived here an hour before sunrise and waited until after sunrise to get a better Image, but the sun was covered by the clouds until i packed up the camera and tripod. I never got the light i was waiting for. Just as i had walked 50 yards from this spot the sun decided to pop out, creating the light i was looking for and also a rainbow. This seems to be my luck with photography lately, always just missing the best moments by a minute
or two.
The sky was wonderful. I was driving so I waited till I found the tree by the farmers field to stop and shoot.

This is a tree that sits in the corner of a local field and it holds a commanding view. This time, I had my pinhole with me.
I'll hopefully have some new snaps soon from my family hols in Norfolk but need to process them first to see what I have got.

You know it's going to be one of those days when, after setting up your camera to shoot a scene like this, you find you've left its battery at home on the charger...
We hiked the Pipiwai Trail to the Bamboo Forest and along the way we had a pleasant supprise, this huge banyan tree. The Seven Sacred Pools are located just below the Pipiwai trailhead so if you visit the pools take some time and hike the trail to this beautiful banyan tree.

Seeing only the pairs of crossed legs poking out between a row of trees along a path in a park in Tübingen, Germany, seemed funny to me.

I’m glad I shot this one as a second later Lulu was running off down this huge hill towards the animals!
Otherwise I’d have got lots more…. next time, eh? (press L key!!)
is it all one tree, or a cluster of cousins? can't quite be sure...
and it's another rainy morning here -- perhaps i should take my camera out again!
The white blossom tree outside our house is looking magical this April. It only lasts a week or so before the wind blows the blossom off and then its all over for another year.
