Is this the only snowy picture I'm going to get this year - I'm beginning to think so. I was heading home from Glenridding when I drove through a blizzard in Dockray - nearly a complete white out. I pulled over and shot this with the D800 and 85mm lens that I just happened to have in the glove box. If we'd had a good winter I likely wouldn't have put this up on here but I'm doing it to remind myself what snow looks like.

Bonsai Tree + Working Clippers!

Bonsai Trees are a form of Japanese Art using miniature trees grown in small containers.

My creation I built for Creations for Charity! I tried to get the affect of some tree branch leaves that are clipped, and some that are not. I also incorporated 2 clippers, one more realistic looking one (the small one on the left of the tree), and 1 bigger one that you can actually use to "clip" the leaves. :) Enjoy!

Lone tree in spring landscape.

Tree with care.

There was something about the opening through these trees that interested me. It's as if a path existed, but it's up to me to determine where it leads. That's what excites me about exploration - you never know what you may see and experience.

This was also an unexpected shot.. i never expected to see a sunset from this place.. the previous day was total disapointment cos of the bad weather,.. i wanted to take a sunset pic the prev day, but there was no sun!.. and wen i saw the sunset happening right in front of me the next day.. i was more happy and excited as usual! :D

Even though the tree-design is symmetric, it is also very scalable and adjustable thus making it very easy to individualize every tree.

The trunk can easily be extended or shortend, branches can be angled up and down independent of each other and each smaller plant leaves & every level of attachment part for the branches can be individually swiveled.

And finally, it is not extremely part-intensive with the tree shown only consisting of 109 parts, mostly technic.

The length of the rigged hose inside the trunk depends on the numbers of attachment levels and can be cut to fit perfectly.

The tree shown has 4 levels and the rigged hose inside is exactly 9L.

The upside-down round plate 1 x 1 on top of the trunk must be with open stud.
