One of the Tree at the End of the Universe series, but this one came out metalized. Hope it doesn't rust.
"如果有來生,要做一棵樹,站成永恆,沒有悲歡的姿勢。一半在土里安詳,一半在風里飛揚,一半灑落陰涼,一半沐浴陽光。非常沉默,非常驕傲,從不依靠,從不尋找…… "---三毛
“If there is another life, I want to be a tree, standing to eternity, there is no posture of any happiness or sorrow. Half of me is sleeping in the soil, half of me is flying in the air, half of me gives shade, half of me enjoys sunshine. Very quiet yet very proud, never relies on anyone, never looks for anyone...” --- Sanmao

This is the same tree as in my previous post, taken less than a few minutes apart with a different exposure settings and the boat a little further away.
I was fortunate that our long-tail driver had good appreciation of photography and understood what I was doing. He actually suggested this spot to us.
We hanged around in this area for a good while. He stopped his engine and used an oar to control the boat's position as I instructed him to move around to frame my shots.
Highway 9 on the way to Zion National Park, Utah. Saw this tree, slammed on the brakes and took a quick snap. Must be a story. Wish I knew.
I am so sorry that I haven't been posting or visiting much recently - life is a bit hectic at the moment. I hope it will be more back to normal in a couple of weeks.
I couldn't resist the lure of the Scottish Day in the Life - the feast of St Margaret - challenge today though - it was so lovely to get out at lunchtime in the sunlight. I seem to live life in darkness at the moment - next week sunset is before 4pm. :(
OK - I can't find a Queen Margaret link for this one.
I like the way they plant trees on golf courses - they obviously have never heard of the planting in 3s rule.
