Hi there. While i was passing by,i noticed this strange tree, which has something different than other trees. Guess what? It looks, like there is a body who has been crucified on it, and underneath, there is another person. They say, that this tree propably has come by a miracle like that.!!! It looks like Jesus crucified on the cross, and holy mother underneath. Strange No?
Aloe dichotoma (quiver tree or kokerboom) is a tall, branching species of aloe, indigenous to the Northern Cape region of South Africa and parts of Southern Namibia. Throughout much of its range quiver trees are in decline. Modelled range declines due to climate change have recently been confirmed by field surveys.

A mighty wind blew night and day
It stole the oak tree's leaves away
Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark
Until the oak was tired and stark

Lone cypress tree on the coast of Pebble Beach, CA
Standing on a granite hillside off California's scenic 17-mile drive in Pebble Beach, the Lone Cypress is a western icon, and has been called one of the most photographed trees in North America. The tree is located between Cypress Point Golf Course and the Pebble Beach Golf Links, two of world's best-known golf courses. Possibly as old as 250 years, the cypress has been scarred by fire and has been held in place with cables for 65 years.
The Monterey Cypress grows naturally only in Pebble Beach and Point Lobos. (From Wikipedia)

A return to one of my favorite subjects, this time with a game between the light, the shadows and the olive tree.
"First of all, let's get one thing straight. Your Italy and our Italia are not the same thing. Italy is a soft drug peddled in predictable packages, such as hills in the sunset, olive groves, lemon trees, white wine, and raven-haired girls. Italia, on the other hand, is a maze. It's alluring, but complicated. It's the kind of place that can have you fuming and then purring in the space of a hundred meters, or in the course of ten minutes. Italy is the only workshop in the world that can turn out both Botticellis and Berlusconis."

I was riding my car, when i saw a lonely tree on the top of a hill. I can't resist, i pick up my camera, and... click
A small group of dazzlingly white silver birch trees on Stanton Moor. Though it appears one of the trees has fallen since I took this other photo of them a couple of years ago.
I've just finished a four week road trip around Scotland - mostly in the highlands and islands - it was not nearly long enough, the place is so stunning, will definitely head back. Well having seen many shots of this lonely tree I could not resist taking my own when the opportunity arose. I can't imagine what people must have thought at the sight of me, head to toe, in waterproofs using a golf brolly in an attempt to protect the camera from the gales!!!
One of the hardest things about photographing the Redwoods is giving a sense of scale to these magnificent trees.
As we were hiking along the Founder's Tree Loop Trial, this couple came up behind us and stopped to allow me to take a photo. I told them that they could go ahead knowing that they would be a great addition to the image. When you compare them to the size of the trees and the root ball, you get a good appreciation of the size of these trees.
Location: Founder's Tree Loop, Rockefeller Forest, Avenue of the Giants.
I can think of no other place (in the world) that offers as much drama and interest as Dinorwic slate quarry. It probably missed it's opportunity to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as so much of it is becoming dangerous and inaccessible to the general public.
This tree is naturally pale and sits near the bottom of the biggest and deepest hole in Dinorwic quarry
It's not really worth a million dollars, but the people who see it all day have named it their Million Dollar Tree. It's an old maple in east Memphis and is just gorgeous in the fall.
