Traverse Theatre at night, quick shots using the tiny 3 inch tripod and its bendy legs - not as good as the big tripod, as you either have to sit it on the pavement or on something like steps or benches to raise it a bit, but considering it can fit in my bag. it's handy when you're not planning to carry the big tripod around all day.
Trains were not expected on my June trip to both peninsulas of Michigan. As luck would have it, I stumbled across the way freight from Cadillac to Williamsburg. Seen here at the former C&O depot in Traverse City the job has its one load of lumber in tow moving east.

Hope no one gets tired of moose because I think I shot more of them than anything else :-) This was one of the five we saw together early in the morning near Pebble Creek...gives you an idea of just how tall that willow is and how hard it is to spot one. This guy just happened to step out of the willow long enough for a few photographic opportunities.
Have a great Sunday....I appreciate all your visits and especially your comments!!!!

A loaded BR 'HEA' Series wagon has just rolled off the traverser at Coalite & Chemical Products Ltd, Grimethorpe works on 5th May 1983. Almost 2,000 of these wagons were built at BR’s Shildon works between 1975 and 1979, intended to become the standard general-purpose hopper wagon. Originally classified as HBA, they were rebuilt with improved suspension and reclassified 'HEA' and in the 1980s were in widespread use conveying household coal in block trains to coal concentration depots and yards around the country. A standard BR 21-ton coal hopper, originally of LNER design, is behind the traverser control hut.

Wooden boardwalk traverses coastal sand dunes under a clear blue sky. The path, flanked by wooden railings, leads towards the horizon. Sandy dunes on either side are dotted with sparse vegetation, giving the area a natural, untouched appearance. Sunlight casts long shadows, enhancing the textures of the sand and wood. The serene beach setting suggests a tranquil coastal environment, typical of regions like Espinho in Aveiro, Portugal.
