The front of Transport House in High Street, Belfast looking very dejected in the early morning light before Christmas. I'm not sure what's going on but it was all boarded up round the front.
Built in 1959, it's one of Northern Ireland's youngest listed buildings. It is the Belfast headquarters of the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers’ Union. Built in 1959, in the International Style, it has become the focal hub of the Province’s trade union movement. The building is mainly clad in green tiles with a large mosaic to the front of the building depicting the various industries associated with Belfast, such as shipbuilding and engineering.
