A rendition with LEGO bricks of the classic supercar the Lamborghini Countach. My first 1:17 build of a real car but also inspired by the original Sideswipe. A little more insight in the transformation process of SideSwipe from car to robot mode. The model has full interior, and also a visible engine which turns into the feet.
The present moment
contains past and future.
The secret of transformation,
is in the way we handle this very moment.

Part of an ongoing experiment with image manipulation: The images are the result of a 2 stage process. First, a photo is taken of a moving subject. What results is a blurred image, the distortion magnified by the grain and contrast achieved by overdevelopment of the film in the darkroom. Already the face or body has been transformed by the simple act of movement. Then in the second stage, the photo is printed. Sometimes thick glossy varnish is applied across the whole surface of the image, or alternatively, the photo is simply printed onto glossy paper. This is when more magic happens. Shining light directly onto the surface of the paper, the image is transformed again. This time the transforming agent is light. The surface of the photograph interacts with what is contained within the image. A final photo is taken.
Its a bit of a routine now. With the transformation complete I go to a long mirror and check myself out, give myself a little wink and take myself off for a quick selfie to record the moment and to generate proof that its me.
Then its off downstairs (previous pic) to smear some lipstick on a tea cup!!!!

The magnificent oaks in City Park sustain through centuries, floods, and hurricanes. We would be sustainably advanced, as a society, if we learned the secrets that Mother Nature offers to us.
Like so many others around the world that night, I got the camera out and awaited the full lunar eclipse. I'd done plenty of moon photography before, but never an eclipse. I took over 200 photo's of the moon as it arced high in the night sky, slowly changing from bright white to a full red planet. It was a peaceful 3.5 hours alone (with Zita of course) on a very mild clear skied Texas night, shooting photo after photo.
At first I was going to post a shot showing the full transformation of many moon images. But then, I decided to go with just these three feeling they summed up the night pretty well.
It was a late night and I was sleepy the next day. But it was well worth it. A big thank you to my friend Rocky for allowing me to borrow his new Canon 100-400mm f/4.5L. It made SUCH a big difference over my 200mm!
"Wow. Oh, transformation. Ah, that is an eternal value. And it's something I'm looking for in myself and in the world. Call it hope. It's like — it's almost a brand now, isn't it? Hope. But I thought there's a reason why —" Bill T Jones
