A couple people asked for it so here's a video showing the transformation process of my Lanius mecha. This thing was already kinda tricky to transform, and reaching around a camera while also trying to keep it in frame made it pretty nightmarish. Still, I cut out all the parts where stuff broke and sped the whole thing up a bit so you can get an idea of how it all works. Enjoy!

Plenary Session: Harnessing the Power of Innovation Districts
It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air, that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.

This photo is about change. Two years ago I weighed 132kg. Today I weigh 72. It took surgery and a lot of work but that’s my high school blazer. It last fitted me at 17. In 1988. I am 51. Change can happen if you want it and work at it hard enough. I’m gonna smacked it fits but fit it does.
The balance in the original version of this image was not pleasing, so I did some stretching and warping for better effect.
i wasnt expecting good light this morning as the forecast said it was going to be cloudy. i went out anyway mostly just for the walk. but obviously it would be silly to leave my camera behind incase anything like this showed up! if i dont risk going out on a morning with uninteresting light, i would have never known what i might miss.
Shelly came for a makeover and photoshoot for a few times before, she is a laugh and looking stunning in her pictures, her personality just shines through!

Not sure if I like it her head seems small for her body. Still trying to straighten her hair those curls turned into waves.
Just five hours after the sunrise hit the surprise April 8 snowfall in Yosemite Valley, much of the white stuff was gone, and it looked like springtime. This viewpoint is along the connector road between Bridalveil Fall and Gates of the Merced.

Part of an ongoing experiment with image manipulation: The images are the result of a 2 stage process. First, a photo is taken of a moving subject. What results is a blurred image, the distortion magnified by the grain and contrast achieved by overdevelopment of the film in the darkroom. Already the face or body has been transformed by the simple act of movement. Then in the second stage, the photo is printed. Sometimes thick glossy varnish is applied across the whole surface of the image, or alternatively, the photo is simply printed onto glossy paper. This is when more magic happens. Shining light directly onto the surface of the paper, the image is transformed again. This time the transforming agent is light. The surface of the photograph interacts with what is contained within the image. A final photo is taken.
A crown, a gear, a saw, a propeller, a hat (a hat...), two flowers and four stars. One unit (with a little variation) for all the models.
This Red-spotted Newt was under a rock by the pond's edge. One of the most fascinating creatures I love them in both their aquatic and terrestrial forms. This one is transitioning to the adult stage. Only the second time I have seen them this color on land. Normally I see them as Red Efts.
I was pleasantly surprised with the discs of the architectural sculpture on the Bioinnovatrions building at Utah State University which displayed their iridescent surface by changing color in the morning sunlight.
