The trainride from Geneva to Montreux is beautiful. We started taking photos that showed off the color contrast between the farms and the lake.
Lake Geneva is shaped like a kidney bean. On one tip is Geneva, on the other is Montreux. We curved around the back of the lake, so by the time we arrived at Montreux, Geneva was well out of sight.
France and Switzerland share the lake. France claims some of the shores of the lake, including the town of Evian.
