Sancaka Pagi | Rail transport in Indonesia
Most rail transport in Indonesia is located on the island of Java, which has two major rail lines that run the length of the island, as well as several connecting lines. The island of Sumatra has three (soon to be four) unconnected railway lines in the northernmost province of Aceh, North Sumatra (the area surrounding Medan, West Sumatra (Padang and its environs), and South Sumatra and Lampung.
Indonesia's railways are operated by the state-owned PT Kereta Api, and the newly-formed PT Kereta Api Jabotabek, operating the commuter lines in the Jakarta metropolitan area. The infrastructure is government-owned, and the companies pay a fee for the usage of the railway lines.
Indonesia's rail gauge is 1,067 mm (3 ft 6 in), although 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) and 750 mm (2 ft 5 1⁄2 in) lines previously existed. New construction in Aceh has the 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) gauge. Most of the Jakarta metropolitan area is electrified at 1500 V DC overhead.

pics taken in globe at the train station, around the train station, and on the world's worst "scenic" train ride... in globe, az.
While riding the train around Disneyland you go through a tunnel with a view of the Grand Canyon that includes taxidermy animals, and a series of scenes of prehistoric life. The Grand Canyon stuff is looking pretty outdated and worn, but the prehistoric is still ok. The train Iwas on had an unplanned stop in the middle of the tunnel leaving me right at the triceratops window. The autofocus on my camera wanted to focus on the window so it is a bit blurry. I didn't have time to try for a manual focus before we were off again.

Since it was demanded of me, here is a new picture :)
This is from a recent trip to NYC; there should be more pictures from the trip up very soon. I'm going to try not to go 5 months again without uploading. The problem is, most of my photos are film and scanning/editing/uploading takes at least forever.
Also, I'm wearing the same shirt as I am in this (http://www.flickr.com/photos/b-ri/5058556051/) picture. Embarrassing.
