Kenyan Union of the Blind,
and Kenyatta University
with DFID funding.
Attendees of the USAID-sponsored training course on wildlife and livestock disease prevention wrote recommendations to the African Union Interafrican Bureau for Animal Resources.

Not everyone that wants to be a member of the Nova Corps gets to wear the helmet. The Nova Trainees work as Xandar's general military and police forces until they've distinguished themselves enough to become full fledged Novas. Aqua works security in a small Xandarian colony. Tala is a pilot patrolling the remains of Xandar from pirates and looters. Daemon is a prison guard and Bob is head of security and only Nova left on Ego the living planet.
This little fella, who was three, wanted a practice load made him for him from a stool and a length of rope! Having mastered control of his load, he then announced he was off to see his friend in Phortse, which while not far away horizontally, is on the other side of a 1500ft deep vally!

In a nearby taro patch the trainees get some practice at carabao plowing. A Sabah/Sarawak training group goes through the mill in Waipio valley, which is located 50 miles from Hilo. Efforts have been made to recreate a Southeast Asian village, which will expose the trainees to many of the hardships and deprivations they will encounter overseas. The training includes care, slaughtering, dressing and cooking poultry and livestock. Photographed by Conklin.
