I run away but it always seems the same.
I am experimenting with industrial too, so forgive me if the result is still not so good ;-)
I've been trying to capture this train for a long time but it usually goes by my place so fast that I never get a shot. So, Saturday, while on my way to photography class with the camera sitting right next to me, I saw this guy and pulled over and got the shot. It's just hard to beat luck.

D&H train 270 heads north/east near Cooperstown Junction, NY, on March 6, 1994. A short while later we came across train 262 at Bainbridge, and at some point, the trains came across each other, and swapped power. Dad and I turned around and chased 262 back east all the way to Mohawk, with GATX 2009 in the lead instead.

Did I say bullet? well... not so much! I took this picture in one of the most historical areas of Athens, Thisio. The "not so bullet" train here belongs to Athens' oldest urban transit system which started its operations back in 1869. Originally the line was connecting Thisio with Athens' main port, Pireaus. It's definitely not world's best or most modern subway, however as you ride the train you get to pass by some very historical buildings like the one in the background. This is Temple of Hephaestus, built between 449-415 BC, dedicated to Hephaestus, god of Fire, Metal working and Craftsmanship. Hephesteion follows the doric order, it is located at the north-west side of the Agora of Athens, on top of the Agoraios Kolonos hill and from the 7th century until 1834 it was used as an Orthodox church. If you ever find yourself in Athens as a tourist don't miss the chance to take the train from Pireaus to Athens downtown and for a little while feel like you took a bullet train and traveled through the ages.
Exporail's Christmas Train has just left Hays Station with CP 1608 leading generator car AMT 603 and ex-CP cars AMT 827 & AMT 900. The latter is a Vickers gallery cab car that was donated to Exporail earlier this year. Originally GP9 AMT 1311 was going to lead, but its batteries are dead and it will not be running this year.
