A late night train at the stop Colosseo, Rome.

An of uncertainty and hope.

I've got the freight train blues, lordy, lordy, lordy

Got 'em in the bottom of my ramblin' shoes, oh-oh

When the whistle blows, I've gotta go

Lordy, lordy, I think I'm never gonna lose the freight train blues.

The Brocken is a hill in the north of Germany. Because of the location in the North German lowlands, there is a special climate. So in winter, when the sun is shining, it’s an amazing place for tourists. You can ride with the steam train in 90 minutes from Wernigerode up on the top of the Brocken. Also the ride on the train through the landscape is spectacular.

Just when I though it couldn't get any more bizarre, a second mixed train drew up alongside the first. It had two freight cars to be unloaded, and so the scene became just that little bit more chaotic, and exotic. An army of men descended on the right said of the train and they stacked the freight against the walls.

Down around the corner, half a mile from here

See them long trains run, and you watch them disappear

Without love, where would you be now

Without love.....

A view from the Nana BTS station. The BTS is an elevated train transit system in Bangkok and is not to be confused with the Bangtan Boys, South Korean popular boy band also known as BTS! I might add that it's a cheap and excellent way to get around this city known for it's horrendous traffic jams.

I was bemoaning the fact that I've never been in the right place at the right time to photograph this train. Then, there it was, racing to Sheringham. It's the North Norfolk Railway, known as the Poppy Line. Straight from the camera

Normally run as a small train ride through the Mail Rail tunnels, part of the network has been converted to allow maintenance of these trains. As we can see in the distance the tracks have been raised allowing access to the underside of the trains.

The Mail Rail tunnels were used to transport mail all around London on a network of automated underground electric trains. It opened in 1927, and only ceased service in 2003.

等這個場景已經有一段時間,灣區很少下雨,火車後面的背景必須要在傾盆大雨之下才會完全消失,祝各位大師們周末愉快!

An early morning commuter train heads into the station in Newcastle, Australia, in a photo now dated by the passage of time. The train line has been torn up, the corridor turned over to developers, and trams now run on the adjacent streets. It's called progress, but I have other words for this kind of urban vandalism and conversion of public assets to private commercial advantage.

A train of mixed cars and media passes through the backyards of a small farm town! Clickety-clack!

Happy Bench Monday ... at the tiny train station.

Once the train completes work at Yulee and Fernandina Beach, it'll return to Waycross in the late afternoon as the A773.

In the foreground is old US Route 17, used at the time (and now) as a fishing pier. Hiding behind leader 3136 is the bridge tender's cabin. As an interesting operating note, this was a "one-manpower" bridge. Opening it for river traffic entailed walking to the center of the span, inserting a long wrench-like tool into a gear in the deck, and walking in circles until the span rotated into the clear. Hell of a way to make a living!

“Train, train, coming ‘round, ‘round the bend

‘Round, ‘round the bend

Train, train, coming ‘round, ‘round the bend

‘Round the bend

Never will again…” Mystery Train

There's no mountain train. I'm running low on images that I think are interesting so I just stuck these three together to make one..:) I know, I've been watching too much Creative Live.com. The train is the newest image. I starting taking my camera everywhere in hopes of getting a good shot and when I was coming home Yesterday, I spotted this train headed north coming out of Mexico and pulled over to take the shot.

About 2 months ago, I told the Parks Foundation I would lead a hike along Barton Creek Greenbelt on National Park Day. I figured March, central Texas, Spring weather...Tomorrow at 9 am it will be 39 degrees..:)) Imagine my surprise. I know, it'll be fine after the first mile..;)

This image is a little day glow. It got away from me some how.
