The Lichfield and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust (LHCRT) are working on the reinstatement of a culvert and small aqueduct over Crane Brook which will link up with the aqueduct over the M6 Toll motorway. This will make part of the Wyrley and Essington Canal – now known as the Summerhill length of the Lichfield Canal – open as a Heritage Towpath Trail.
