Leaving work and finding the sky isn't so dark on the way home, a glimpse of light... it completely changes your mood.

I live in the old town of my city and it's only a 20-minute commute from the office, so being able to enjoy the walk home is a pleasure.

On the islands of "eternal spring", the rain brings our countryside back to life. Everything grows and blooms, and it looks so beautiful, so many colors and so many birds... there are still some almond trees in bloom, and everything is so green... it's truly gorgeous.

Although I haven't posted in a long time, I couldn't resist Mr. iBi's most recent creation for @Equal 10, Echoes of Roses. Yes, and it took me ages to finally finish this post... but I didn't feel like I was doing justice to the level of detail and beauty of the design and textures.

I hope you like it!

The Gooderham Building, also known as the Flatiron Building, is an historic office building at 49 Wellington Street East in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the eastern edge of the city's Financial District (east of Yonge Street) in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood, wedged between Front Street and Wellington Street in Downtown Toronto, where they join up to form a triangular intersection. Completed in 1892, the red-brick edifice was an early example of a prominent flatiron building.

The Gooderham Building is the focal point of one of Toronto's most iconic vistas: looking west down Front Street towards the building's prominent rounded corner, framed on the sides by the heritage commercial blocks along Front Street, and with the skyscrapers of the Financial District towering in the background. The CN Tower is also visible from certain angles behind Brookfield Place. This vista frequently appears in imagery of the city.

High Speed Train (AVE) passing through VALENCIA

This is the high-speed train, coming from Madrid-Puerta de Atocha and that has just left the Valencia-Joaquín Sorolla station towards Castellón.

Oriented towards the south, it was worth taking advantage of the overcast in the morning to avoid the backlighting that would otherwise inevitably have occurred.

A view towards Cerro de Trevenque, a peak in the Cumbres Verdes area of the Sierra Nevada in the south of Spain. The Arenales del Trevenque as well as the rest of the Sierra Nevada form a hotspot of plant endemicity. These sandy areas caught the attention of 19th century naturalists and botanists like Edmond Boissier who revealed to the world some endemic Sierra Nevada species.

Almost all the joys of spring, her scenery and its indwellers, her earth, and sky, and sea, and at last the springtide of his own heart, are vocal in its feeling and its art. - Tennyson

Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems. - Rainer Maria Rilke

I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen. - Anne Lamott

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo❤️

in a quite fluctuating weather here in Finland: showers, hard wind and cool temperature but luckily every now and then some sun shine too.

... and before anyone asks about Afro Uncle's hand: yes, he got tenosynovitis from all that paper doll cutting :-(

The weather forecast suggested there might have been mist in the valleys. It was not to be but I was lucky to time my walk just as the mist cleared from the moors. An ever changing scene for around twenty minutes and then the mist was all gone.

Semmering Railway, Lower Austria: Kalte-Rinne-viaduct, Pollereswand with Polleres-tunnel, the Krausel-Klause-viaduct and the small Krausel tunnel (left to right), in the background the Rax Alp. This scenery was shown on the 20-Schilling-banknote released 1968, and is therefore called 20-Schilling-view. Wikipedia also provides the following information: The Semmering railway (German: Semmeringbahn) in Austria, which starts at Gloggnitz and leads over the Semmering to Mürzzuschlag, was the first mountain railway in Europe built with a standard gauge track. It is commonly referred to as the world's first true mountain railway, given the very difficult terrain and the considerable altitude difference that was mastered during its construction.

"All the fear has left me now

I'm not frightened anymore

It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh

It's my mouth that pushes out this breath

And if I shed a tear I won't cage it

I won't fear love

And if I feel a rage I won't deny it

I won't fear love

Companion to our demons

They will dance, and we will play

With chairs, candles, and cloth

Making darkness in the day

It will be easy to look in or out

Upstream or down without a thought..."

Released 30 years ago, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, the third studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, it was produced by Pierre Marchand in Montreal; McLachlan wrote most of the album while living in a small house near Marchand's studio. An absolute masterpiece from one of the best voices in alternative-pop music. I love this album.

Calista walked towards the window..

The short hours of the sun were long gone by now...

A cigarette was lit, a drag was taken... And a half smile was drawn in her lips.

She really could get it all.

"...You say you want it, but

You can't get it in

You got yourself a bad habit for it

Oh, look at you, walking up and down a hall

I say please

Oh man, oh man, oh man

You know I wish I had it all..."
