It is the same above and below the wing, but the colour is slightly different: a dark brown on the upper side and chestnut below.
I just got back from a 3 day trip to the San Juan Mountains to capture the Fall colors. So I am going to start off my shots with an image that has no fall leaves in it! This image is on top of Cinnamon Pass - above the tree line. Me and my Flickerite girlies took a road trip leaving Colorado Springs early Saturday morning. Stopped off in Lake City (Where colors were outrageous) then headed over Cinnamon Pass to Silverton. The road all in all was fine until we hit the split at American Basin then it went straight up. A little nerve wrecking at times!! Don't look down spots! But this was our view at the top of the pass. I wished I would have composed a few more shots than I did but the realization was we were at the top of the pass and we had just lost our daylight - and now we have to travel DOWN the mountain. Pitch black - no street lights up there! Now, I always thank God for sunrise, sunsets, a white puffy cloud - you name it - give credit where credit is due. But on this night, I thanked God for Asphalt. Yes, Asphalt! Was never so happy to see road paving! We contemplated actually stopping the car to kiss that pavement!

On this lovely Saturday morning, a few of us volunteers brought a group of young disabled children from the Rainbow Centre to an outdoor garden in Singapore called Hort Park. This little boy named Sherman was wheelchair bound and was wearing a hearing aid, but he was one of the most friendly and loving kids around. He was peering inside the foggy window pane of the glasshouse, where beautiful flowers were nurtured, when he reached out and tried to touch the beautiful blooms. The colorful flowers touched his heart, and his joyous outlook and innocent smile touched me.

We had a company day out today, and walked a long day through the Dutch city The Hague. Afterwards we went to Scheveningen by the sea for drinks and a BBQ. I don't meet the ocean that often, but I do love the smell and taste of the beach. So I took of my shoes and walked right into the water, just standing there for a while and enjoying the moment.
