Advertising Photography Assignment 4.
I copied the idea from the original Apple iPhone ad and gave it a try. The end product here consist at least 4 different exposures and blended them together.
Strobe info :
1 x Large softbox located at right ( exposure 1 )
1 x Large softbox located at the left ( exposure 2 )
1 x Large softbox facing the hand ( exposure 3 )

One of some first shots with a "new" lens. (Soligor 80-200mm circa 1970's or 80's -- Manual Focus is _tough_)
Basic Editing: Crop + Color Correction.
New! This was replaced with a re-crop on 4-19-2006 (also, better exposed, not as sharp). I still have the old version if you liked it better, just leave some comments and I'll change it out.

This photo now appears on a sign in Cesar Chavez Park at the Berkeley Marina in Berkeley, California -- about 30 feet from the first burrowing owl observation area. It's one of about 10 photos of birds shown on the sign; my photo of a Western grebe also appears on the sign.
When I was at school it was common knowledge that Eskimos kissed by rubbing noses. I realise now that Eskimo is not a politically sensitive term, and that the rubbing nose kiss is probably a myth, but that is what sprung to mind when I photographed this male and female Polar Bear rubbing noses. This was photographed in the frozen sea-ice north of Spitzbergen.

A and one of the incredibly tactile wooden rails in the Medersa Ben Youssef, Marrakech. The Medersa is a Qur'anic school, founded in the 14th century, which just oozes history and is simply beautiful.

Often, it is hidden away in the clouds ... unlucky travellers can spend weeks of scanning the horizon without catching a glimpse ...
My wife had been in this group till our little Alaskan junket at the beginning of May, when we got quite lucky on this beautiful morning.
It is an incredible mountain, an experience not to be missed .... On a day when it's not visible, the viewer has his socks knocked off by the lower, intervening ranges .... Then, when the great one appears, it is simply unbelievable.

Pepper and I went to the arboretum today for a walk. It was a glorious day, the arboretum was practically empty and everything was so peacefull. I don't know what it is about the woods, but walking through a forest has this natural calming effect on me. I love that i can get outside to this totally other world while still being fifteen minutes away from the campus.

Apart from the basic subject, I liked the way the sand textured the background, even including tyre tracks for good measure!
NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, Expedition 32 flight engineer, appears to touch the bright sun during the mission's third session of extravehicular activity (EVA). During the six-hour, 28-minute spacewalk, Williams and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Aki Hoshide (visible in the reflections of Williams' helmet visor), flight engineer, completed the installation of a Main Bus Switching Unit (MBSU) that was hampered last week by a possible misalignment and damaged threads where a bolt must be placed.
