In a skate park in close Paris, it was a warm and sunny sunday.
With a colleague, we decided to make some skateboard shooting session and I met this fellow suburbs. I think he know how to handle his board :-)
Technically, it's my first time using Time value priority. I also had a UV filter, which helps to make a better contrast when sun is striking.
A volunteer shares a tender moment with Goldie, a sweet, scared little Lab mix with a misaligned jaw. It's believed that her jaw is misaligned because she suffered a blow to the face (shovel or similar instrument). Her muzzle is a bit odd looking from this angle, but she's healing slowly. Did I mention that she's also a senior? She needs a home in time for Christmas. She's very timid, but she has every right to be. People are so terrible, but capturing a moment like this really makes the world seem a whole lot brighter.

Ants use their antennas to detect chemical odors in their surroundings. That is also used to identify ants of their own colony, as well as their role in it. There are other ways of communication, but antennas are used primarily for smelling and touching.
I decieded to prolong musical cosplay theme and finally made this. I was inspired by beautiful photo of pretty Lacuna Coil singer Christina Scabbia.

This photo now appears on a sign in Cesar Chavez Park at the Berkeley Marina in Berkeley, California -- about 30 feet from the first burrowing owl observation area. It's one of about 10 photos of birds shown on the sign; my photo of a Western grebe also appears on the sign.
When I was at school it was common knowledge that Eskimos kissed by rubbing noses. I realise now that Eskimo is not a politically sensitive term, and that the rubbing nose kiss is probably a myth, but that is what sprung to mind when I photographed this male and female Polar Bear rubbing noses. This was photographed in the frozen sea-ice north of Spitzbergen.
