I was about to leave after a tireful evening,I was in the sanctuary for like 4 hours clicking and all of a sudden this guy jumped out of tree and was gliding away to his nest.

Touching down at Shannon 19/6/16 after diverting with a medical emergency en route from Kennedy to Gatwick.

These are paper tulips that travelled half way around the world ,squashed in a shipping crate. They don't look too bad considering!
An elderly gentleman quietly enjoys his cake and newspaper. The chaos of the subway hall doesn't affect him. These serene moments in a dynamic environment deeply touch me. I feel an urgent need to capture these delicate moments.

This is a mother-child statue of "Shinjuku Central Park".
I made a composition in which the child is touching the corona of the sun.
I hope that this spring, vaccination will make me less afraid of corona like this mother.
This Picture of the Week shows a beautiful meeting between the Swedish–ESO Submillimetre Telescope (SEST) and the Milky Way, apparently almost touching each other. This shot was taken at ESO’s La Silla Observatory, located on the outskirts of the Chilean Atacama Desert, at an altitude of 2400 metres.
Light and darkness shape the Milky Way as it stretches across the night sky. The dark patches are dust clouds blocking the light behind them, coming from millions of stars in the central region of our galaxy.
SEST was built on behalf of the Swedish Natural Science Research Council (NFR) and ESO in 1987. It is a 15-m radio telescope, and it was the only large sub-millimetre telescope in the southern hemisphere at the time of first light. In 2003, the telescope was decommissioned as it was superseded by the Atacama Pathfinder EXperiment telescope (APEX) and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) further north in Chile. Over the years SEST has observed a wide range of astronomical objects, from comets to stellar nurseries and galaxies.

There was a moment when the light and the darkness were only divided by the breathing of the morning wind. A glowing blanket, clean and ineffable, was on its way down from the sky to the land. I was just sitting on a boulder, the camera in my hands, to wait for my turn to be touched by the golden light.
Toccando la luce
C'era un momento in cui la luce e il buio stavano divisi soltanto dal respiro del vento del mattino. Una coperta di luce, netta ed ineffabile, stava scendendo dal cielo verso la terra. Io me ne stavo seduto su una roccia, con la macchina fotografica fra le mani, attendendo a mia volta di essere toccato dalla luce color dell'oro.
