I've never uploaded this before... it's one of the other jumps we did for my very first jump, for the 100 Jump Photographs Project!

Overviewing the three main glaciers in Tarfala valley from Kekkonen-toppen (1481 AMSL), Storglaciären, Isfallsglaciären, Kebnepakteglaciären (from left to right). Kebnekaise, the roof of Sweden is hiding in the clouds just above Storglaciären.
My daughter Julia showed me the rays, then both girls ran towards it to "touch" it and danced under the sunlight : )

this vast monument of gray, square, solumn blocks of cold concrete are a remembrance to the terrifying efficiency and scale of th holocaust. At the same time, it invites people to walk in it, childeren to play hide and seek. It might not be appropriate, but I find this human touch a perfect complement to the monument, expressing hope.

To my mind, this is what HDR was made for... as I stood on this hill and watched out over the expansive landscape before me, the sun reached out of the clouds, stretched down and gently touched the ground... a breathtaking moment that made me wish I had someone there that I could turn to and say 'Wow, look at that!'... but thanks to technology and the HDR technique, I can now share exactly what I saw with everyone.
Luckily for you, you don't have to experience the searing heat and the flies!!! LOL... :-)
