I wanted to capture the entire umbral stage in 5 minute intervals. Alas, my 18-200mm Nikkor wasn't really up to the task, particularly while the moon was under greatest eclipse.
I also converted the images into an animated GIF.

Here are some images from the total eclipse of the moon, that occurred on August 28 2007.
All shot with a 70-200/2.8, usually in manual exposure, at varying ISO speeds. Beware all the moon guides out there, because you're shooting a completely "different" colored object during a total lunar eclipse
There was a tripod (wish it were better), there was mirror lockup, and there was a remote shutter release.
We viewed the eclipse from the plaza outside the main gate. This is Gatekeeper during totality. I did not want to take my main camera off where it was trained on the sun, so I used my very bad phone camera to take these. They still communicate very well what a strange light it was. Note the seagulls in the sky. They all started calling and flying in to roost.

Total Solar Eclipse August 21st, 2017 at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose's Rose Garden neighborhood
Photo taken on Monday, August 21, before the 10:26 am total eclipse occurred. Park photos are of Baker City Central Park, and photos of storefronts, buildings and building blocks are of the Baker City Historic District.
We were lucky enough to be in the path of totality for the eclipse today. Clouds were covering the sky for most of the day. Right at the moment of totality, the clouds parted and we got a fantastic view of the eclipse. It was amazing to see.
Eclipse in Birmingham on the morning of 20th March 2014. A few shots from across the city in various locations.
January 21, 2019
The January 20/21 total lunar eclipse, blood moon in progress. My camera clock was off by 1 hour, 0 minutes and 50 seconds, so this image is actually taken at roughly an hour and a minute earlier than EXIF states.
A cool thing about this eclipse was that a Meteor hit the Blood Moon at exactly 11:41:10 (Reports differ, but it is 11:41: something.)
