I wanted to capture the entire umbral stage in 5 minute intervals. Alas, my 18-200mm Nikkor wasn't really up to the task, particularly while the moon was under greatest eclipse.

I also converted the images into an animated GIF.

Lunar Eclipse, seen from Essex in the UK. Taken through double-glazing so has reflections. This is a rare total Lunar Eclipse. The last Blood Moon was seen in 1982 and will not occur again until 2033.

We viewed the eclipse from the plaza outside the main gate. This is Gatekeeper during totality. I did not want to take my main camera off where it was trained on the sun, so I used my very bad phone camera to take these. They still communicate very well what a strange light it was. Note the seagulls in the sky. They all started calling and flying in to roost.

A service cover for something on the sidewalk in Arlington Heights, not far from the bike trail. Not sure what Total Eclipse St. Louis is, though.
