Trying to get a shot of a butterfly in flight with a bit of motion blur. This is the best so far - still a work in progress......................
This is Kit Kat, my adopted cat, who used to respond to "Big Cat" so I just made a slight change to her name to fit my personality, along with her sister whom I named Stay Puft (yes, she's all white). A friend of mine nicknamed her Lantern Eyes due to Kit Kat's ridiculously large eyes in comparison to her head. © 2014-Current.

There were several Milbert's Tortiseshells feeding at the alpine wildflowers. This one was photographed near the end of the Rock Glacier Trail at about 10,700 ft.
Meet Lucy, my munchkin. Our beloved cat Sam passed away a year ago now from extreme old age (18 1/2 ). So a few months ago we adopted Lucy from the rspca, as she was in need of a loving home. She brings so much joy to us each day. Her hobbies include playing with shoes, twigs, newspapers and watching the gecko's catching bugs on the other side of the window at night. She's a ragdoll cat and is tortiseshell in her coloration. Her tail is epic in it's fluffiness.
Braille was found as a tiny kitten, stray on the streets of Rome. She had a terrible eye infection that cost her both sight and comfort. She recently had both eyes surgically removed (enucleation), and has been adopted by her foster mom Kayla!
Katyusha. I was looking after this beautiful girl while my friend was on holiday. Like an eejit I bought her (Katyusha, not my friend) a chew toy/treat dispenser thing, thinking it would keep her occupied while I wasn't there. Not the slightest bit interested. String, on the other hand... couldn't get enough of it.
My Mum's cat Chloe outside in the snow. I only let her outside briefly so she didn't get too cold. She seems to like any kind of weather.
The web reports this about this butterfly: "Small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) Eurasia from western Europe across Russia to the Pacific Coast."
However, there is only mention that a few have been spotted in North America in New York, USA. However, I have had them in my flower garden here in Gander. The one in this pic was at Sleepy Cove, Twillingate, NL. There were about 50 of them around the stinging nettle bushes there.
